Slough Borough Council is warning motorists of upcoming overnight closures eastbound on the A4 in Langley for resurfacing, as part of ongoing improvement works.
The closures will take place between the A4 junctions with Upton Court Road and High Street Langley from 20-27 March, for six nights.
Closures will be in place on weekdays only from 9pm to 6am.
The work is being done at night to minimise disruption and diversions will be in place.
Lane restrictions will be in place eastbound on the A4/Bath Road from Galvin Road to Salt Hill Avenue from 6 March and will continue for 12 weeks.
The various works taking place at a series of A4 junctions are part of the SMaRT (Slough Mass Rapid Transport) scheme as the council works hard to provide people with a high quality, fast and reliable public transport service along the A4 to link Slough Trading Estate, the town centre and the east of the borough.
The SMaRT project has been funded by the Thames Valley Berkshire Local Transport Board (part of the Local Enterprise Partnership) and Slough Borough Council.
A single overnight road closure will be in place at Queensmere Road on 9 March from 9pm to 6am to install detection equipment in the road.
Diversions will be in place.
The footway adjacent to Queensmere Road will also be closed from 8am on 1 March until 10 March with a pedestrian diversion in place allowing pedestrians to cross to the other side of the A4.
Councillor Sohail Munawar, leader of the council, said: “We would like to thank the residents of Slough for bearing with us as we undertake these important improvements.
“No one likes roadworks, but we are working hard to minimise any disruption caused.
“One of our top priorities is ensuring Slough’s transport infrastructure is fit for both residents and businesses, encouraging them to locate, start, grow and stay in the borough.”
