Please go to our coronavirus pages for the latest guidance, how services are affected, and what help is available.
We greatly value your interest in volunteering for Slough Libraries however due to COVID19 Slough Libraries and Culture have currently placed a hold on volunteer recruitment. We will gratefully accept applications and hold them on file and contact you in the future when there is a change in the current situation.
Looking for other volunteering opportunities outside of libraries? Try the Slough Community Database
We’ll give you support and training for whatever role you’re interested in. This may be shadowing or an occasional training session or just talking through what’s involved. For some roles there’s a support pack or online training to get you started, and there may also be a chance to network with other volunteers.
If you’re interested, ask at your local library or contact us at Libraries.CultureVolunteering@slough.gov.uk
We’ll ask you to complete a volunteer application form, meet us to discuss possibilities and give us the names of two referees. For some roles, such as working with vulnerable adults or children, we will ask you to complete a DBS check.
