If you are already a member of Slough Libraries, you can login here to reserve or renew items, or change your details. You will need your PIN. If you don’t know what it is, just contact us and we will find out for you.
Anyone who lives, works or studies in Slough is welcome to join Slough Libraries free of charge. Even babies can have their own library card! You can sign up at your local library, or you can join online right now!
You can join at any branch of Slough Libraries. Children aged over 8 years can join without a parent, guardian or carer being present. Children under 8 years need a parent, adult guardian (grandparent, aunt, uncle, etc.), or carer to be with them when they join.
When you join online and fill in your details, you will be given a temporary card number and personal identification number (PIN). You can use these straight away to reserve items from the library catalogue. However, you will need to collect your library card from one of our branches before you are able to borrow items or use the library computers.
You can borrow up to 35 items including books, magazines, CDs, audio books, DVDs, and games for Xbox, Wii, Nintendo DS.
Books and Magazines are free; however, we do make small charges for items such as DVDs, overdue items and for services such as photocopying, printing and faxing. You can keep books, CDs and audio books for 3 weeks, and other items for a week at a time. It is possible to renew items if no-one else has requested them. You can also use a computer at our libraries free of charge.
To take advantage of the full range of library services, just come in to your local library and sign up, or register online and bring in your temporary borrower ID and exchange it for a library membership card.
If you lose your card we will replace it. Just speak to a member of staff. Children’s cards are replaced free; adults will need to pay for replacements.
