This is a unique and exciting opportunity to join Slough Children’s Services Trust, a new and innovative company delivering children’s safeguarding and social care services in Slough. This is the second Children's Services Trust to be established in the UK as a result of government direction following the successful creation of Doncaster Children's Services Trust.
The Trust is a private company limited by guarantee, established solely for the purpose of improving Children’s Services in Slough. The organisation therefore will need to work closely with central and local government to drive new and innovative approaches to solve increasingly complex challenges around children's support and services.
As a Consultant Social Worker you will be working at the forefront of best practice.
This role provides an opportunity to shape children's social work in a high profile Children’s Trust by working at management level while remaining 'hands on'.
You will be responsible for work undertaken for children allocated to your social work hub. Working closely with other highly skilled managers, social workers and professionals from other agencies, you will be supported and encouraged to apply theory and research in front-line practice, building on a strong track record of service delivery and innovation within the service.
Dynamic, innovative, committed and passionate, you'll bring a comprehensive knowledge and skill-base to the challenge of working with vulnerable children and families. Your strong leadership skills will enable you to mobilise the skills of the other members of your hub, ensuring the very best outcomes for children in Slough.
Candidates must hold a Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) recognised social work qualification, be HCPC registered and have evidence of continuing professional development pursuant to a specialist level of knowledge. An enhanced DBS check is required.
