Kooth is a free online mental health tool for children and young people in Slough. It provides online counselling and emotional well-being support, accessible through mobile, tablet and desktop.
The Active Slough programme provides activities for all ages, abilities and interests for those interested in sports and keeping fit, many of which are free.
Youth Engagement Slough (YES) is a collection of youth groups in Slough who run activities ranging from volunteering, arts and crafts and music to sports, gaming, poetry and more. YES also provide advice and support services.
HOME Slough is for anyone who would like to try something new and creative. They support all types of creative activities, exhibitions, workshops and performances across theatre, film, dance, music, poetry and visual art.
Slough Young Carers is for 11-19 year olds in Slough. The sessions offer advice, support and a break for young people to enjoy a range of activities such as ice skating, cinema, bowling and day trips. They also meet on the fourth Saturday of each month at the YES shop in the Queensmere Observatory Shopping Centre (next to Robert Dyas).
Breaking Boundaries is bringing together young people aged between 14 and 25, their families and communities through regular engagement in cricket: whether it’s playing, spectating or volunteering. There are also opportunities to become a Breaking Boundaries Community Champion, which involves volunteering at community cricket activities, building up leadership, team and social skills and more. Becoming a champion could also open up career opportunities, the chance to meet and learn from role models and athletes, prospects with the ICC World Cup and the chance to attend fun training and coaching sessions. Slough Youth Service provides support for 11 – 19 year olds (or up to 25 with a statement of Special Educational Needs) to help them make the most of opportunities and activities happening in the community. Whether you’re interested in influencing how services are delivered to young people, getting involved with Slough Youth Parliament, looking for a job or educational or training opportunities, need advice and support, or are looking for something to do such as join a club, the team is there to help.
